Food Review: California Pizza Kitchen, BGC

My niece and nephew has been a fan of this restaurant since the first time they ate there. Whenever we're out, the two would always tell their mom to eat at "California Pizza Kitchen!" with so much excitement and persistence. Haha!

It was a dead time when we ate there, around 2-3 in the afternoon. People came in around 4-5 in the afternoon.

Where they prepare the pizza! And that's a brick oven right there! Is that right, brick oven?

I, too, loved this restaurant. With the home-y ambiance and of course, their yummy food!

The time we ate there, we ordered these:

Mozzarella Sticks | 165.00

 This has been a staple to us whenever we eat here. All of us loved these mozzarella sticks! You can really taste the mozzarella, plus my darling Maco loved these! And it goes very well with the marinara sauce!

Baked Penne Florentine | 475.00

This is what my sister-in-law usually order for her and her two kids. Haha! I know, they're light eaters apparently. At first, I wouldn't even want to taste it because I thought this would just taste like baked mac of some sort, but I was so wrong! It's soooo delicious! I think it's a favorite of mine too, already! Plus, the broccolis' are fresh! 

BBQ Chicken Nachos | 325.00

The first time I ordered this, it was yummy! I just don't know why the time we ate there again and decided to review it for this post, it's not as yummy. It's a bit dry than usual, and it lacks flavor. Hopefully the next time we'll order this it'll be back to it's normal taste!

Spaghetti Carbonara | Sharing 695.00 | Personal 350.00

I think it was the first time we ordered Carbonara here. There's nothing special with their Carbonara though, except that it has green peas which is kind of odd.

Five Cheese with Tomatoes | Personal 250.00 | Regular 395.00

 I ordered this and I love it! I love, love, love cheese and this Five Cheese is just perfect! <3

The Hawaiian | Personal 275.00 | Regular 375.00

I wasn't able to taste this one. Hahaha! I was hoping to taste it when we got home but the husband and father-in-law ate it for their dinner.

I love their pizzas, they're fresh and the bread is so soft! Yes, even the crust, that's why I'm not afraid to give some to my little munchkin because she would be able to munch it smoothly.

The only downside with this particular branch is that they short staff. I mean, whenever we eat here, their server would mostly be only one. Lucky us if they're two, and we don't have to wait when the other table's already done with their orders so we could order ours!
